Mohammad Asef Hamraz is an experienced education activist with a strong background in project coordination, program management, and community-based initiatives. An Afghan national currently based in Pakistan, he has dedicated his career to advancing education, literacy, and capacity-building programs, particularly for underserved and vulnerable communities.
Asef holds a master’s degree in politics and public administration from Savitribai Phule Pune University. His academic foundation has supported his practical work in governance, education systems, and project implementation.
With over a decade of professional experience, Asef has worked with several national and international organizations. He currently serves as a DLC Facilitator with Right to Learn Afghanistan in Pakistan, where he facilitates digital learning, supports students and teachers, provides technical assistance, and monitors learner progress. In addition, he has contributed as a Program Local Coordinator with Yaran Foundation, supporting program implementation and coordination.
Previously, Asef worked as an Education Project Coordinator with Sutoon Foundation, where he managed project operations, coordinated stakeholders, and monitored project performance. His earlier roles include Project Assistant at Asian Culture House, Provincial Coordinator for a literacy program under UNESCO and the Ministry of Education in Afghanistan, Project Officer at Kabul Thunder Technical Services, and Field Officer with Catholic Relief Services.
Throughout his career, Asef has demonstrated strong skills in project management, team coordination, reporting, and community engagement. He has led and supervised large-scale literacy and education programs, managed field operations, and worked closely with local communities and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
Fluent in Persian and Pashto, with strong English communication skills, Asef is also proficient in digital tools including Microsoft Office and online communication platforms. His work reflects a deep commitment to education, social development, and empowering communities through learning opportunities
